Himalayan Salt Crystal Lamp really can help our health? But I just bought it yesterday night in Pasar Malam (Night Market). When I passed thru one of the store, then the Crystal Lamp on the store table attract my eye, and suddenly I feel like want to buy it.

Once I reached home, then put in on the bedroom table and close all the light. Wow.. is beautiful, all of us love it so much. :)

Next, I start want to know Himalayan Salt really can help our health and cure Asthma. So I did some research on it and found some info. Lets share with you below, but is depend you believe it or not.

Missing MDI for Microsoft Office 2007

I just upgraded the Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2007 last week. All this time I am using 'Microsoft Office Document Image Writer' or 'Microsoft Office Live Meeting Document Writer' as virtual printer to print and save as a soft copy MDI file (*.mdi) for backup purpose. Today, I want to reopen the MDI file to check some detail and then the system not allow me to open and prompt the 'Windows Cannot open this file'. Oh no, what happen? I can use it last week before I upgrade, is it missing MDI for Microsoft Office 2007?

I checked from Microsoft website and only know that when upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007, it didn't install the MDI as default tool for us. You can refer to below steps and reinstall back your 'Microsoft Document Imaging Writer' to open the MDI file and as a virtual printer.

1. Click 'Start' -> 'Setting' -> 'Control Panel', then run the 'Add or Remove Programs'.
2. Select the Microsoft Office 2007 (is depend on your version, Professional or Enterprise or Small Business, etc), then click on the 'Change' button.
3. It will pop-up a screen, then you choose the 'Add or Remove Features', then click 'Continue'.
4. Expand the 'Office Tools', then you can see the 'Microsoft Office Document Imaging'.
5. Click the drop down button and choose the 'Run all from My Computer' as below screen capture.
6. Click on the 'Continue' button, then it will reinstall MDI back to your Microsoft Office 2007.

Once you done the installation, you not need to restart, but you need to try and make sure it work. Try to print a document from Microsoft Word 2007 and save it as MDI file soft copy in one of the folder, then goto your specific folder and open back your MDI file to view it. :)

What is the best and fastest Internet Browser?
This is come to my mind when I try to search from Google Search Engine and found that why it takes so long to load the webpage when I try to open multiple website using Mozilla Firefox. I am using the Cable DSL Internet Broadband and with 2MB download link. So it should not be the Internet Speed performance issue because I put in the trick to speed up the Internet download.

I am using the Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180 and Mozilla Firefox 3.0.10 on Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. I wanna to find the best and fastest Internet Browser now, then I start to do some research from Google and found few famous Internet Browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome) used by most of the people on Microsoft Operating System. I start download the latest (even beta version) Internet Browser and try to compare it then see which is most suitable for me.

How to Start Develop Flash Game?

Before we start the topic on 'How to Start Develop Flash Game?', we need to know some basic on the 'Flash' first. Flash is one of the program (like Java) that allow you to interact on animations, forms, games and it can be embedded into Internet Webpage. It is a dynamic object-oriented scripting programming, and integrated the video, graphic, audio with playback functions. Surely, you need the Adobe Flash Player to play the games or products that developed in Flash technology.


How to Start Develop Flash Game?

You need to setup the basic development environment with some of the below tools first in order to start develop the Flash game.

1. Download and install the Adobe Flash Player.

2. You need to have the Flash debugging tool (Projector and ActiveX) for the Flash Player. There are many tools available in the Internet, and you can use below two tools which are recommended by FlashDevelop.
- Flash Player 9 ActiveX Debugger Tool (for the Microsoft Internet Explorer, with embedded SWF player in FlashDevelop)
- Flash Player 9 Projector Debugger Tool (an external player to allow you see trace action in output panel)

3. Install the Java runtime version 1.6 and above in order to be used for the Flex SDK compiler later.

4. Install the Free Flex SDK 3 (Adobe Flex 3 SDK is free and open source) to be used for the ActionScript 3 (AC3) development. Once you downloaded the Flex 3 SDK, then you can unzip and put into your D:\ drive (i.e. d:\flex3)if you are using the Microsoft Windows platform.

5. Get the latest FlashDevelop tool (FlashDevelop 3) and install it into your system to support different development workflows language - ActionScript 3 or ActionScript 2 or Haxe. You can manage your development project by the default templates or embed assets. You can refer to FlashDevelop features thru this link.

6. Configure the FlashDevelop to use the Adobe Flex 3 SDK. You can goto Tools -> Program Settings, then select the 'AS3Context plug-in' and put the Adobe Flex 3 SDK folder path (i.e. d:\flex3).

7. Download the Windows DLL file (msvcr71.dll) and put into the Microsoft Windows system32 direcotry (i.e. C:\WINDOWS\system32).

8. Below few basic workflows that you need to compile using Flash. You can refer to this link to get more detail.
- Create a Flash project
- Create a AS3 Flash document and save the 'FLA' in the 'src' for your project
- Configure the FLA in 'Publish Setting -> ActionScript 3 Parameters' to uncheck the 'Automatically declare stage instances'.
- Define the document and symbols classes
- Create a class under the project tree with a class name
- Declare the elements on stage
- Add the 'timeline code' to make your class much lighter.

9. You can download a sample FlashDevelop flash project from here to start practice it. The classes for this flash project is 'packaged' which is a unit where you gather from a common project or common role.

Today, i believe the flash plug-in to the Internet Browser (i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc) is the MOST COMMON compare to Realplayer, Quicktime or Java, because of online flash game and advertisements in most of the famous website now.

If you are Java or Microsoft dot.Net developer, then i think is not VERY difficult for you to start pickup the ActionScript programming language, as you already familiar on the logic development and write the script all this time. Submit Full Blogger Atom Sitemap to Google, Yahoo, Bing Webmaster

 

Top 10 in Google Search Engine 

Once you start your blogging using Blogspot (Blogger), and if you want attract more people to view and visit your blogs, then you need to learn how to submit your Blogger Blogs or Websites to famous Internet Search Engine (Google, Yahoo, Bing (MSN)) with your Blogspot full atom sitemap (atom.xml) with no cost.

Usually, this is the important key for Internet Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and submit your Blogspot full atom sitemap to Internet Search Engines to get your blogs been published and searched by Internet users.

There are few steps you need to configure in the Blogger setting before you submit your Blogger full atom sitemap to the Internet Search Engine.

1. Login to your Blogger account, then you click on the 'Settings'.
2. Go to 'Site Feed' and click on the 'Advanced Mode'.
3. Make sure 'Blog Posts Feed', 'Blog Comment Feed' and 'Per-Post Comment Feeds' are set to 'Full' and save the settings.

You know why we need to submit the full Blogger atom sitemap, rather than default atom.xml. As below example, Google only index less than 26 blogs (not all the posts) if using atom.xml, but if I use the full atom.xml then Google will index more than 26 blogs or posts.

NEXT, below show you the full xml sitemap (atom.xml) format that you will be used to submit into Internet Search Engine. You need to know how many articles (blog posts) that you wrote. How to check? You can check from your Blogger 'Dashboard', and it will show the number of posts.

1. Below 500 blog posts, then you need to use below full atom sitemap. It will keep track your 1st post till 500 posts.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

2. If you have more than 500 posts and less than 1000 blog posts, then use below.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500

You will ask why i can't put all in one atom sitemap, then it will be easier. But Blogger now allow you maximum max-results is 500 posts.

You can try to view your full atom sitemap first to make sure it work before you start submit your sitemap to Internet Search Engine.

Example below (you just need to change Jasswin's blogspot URL jasswin.blogspot.com to your blogger URL and try view it first):-

http://jasswin.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

So, you know what is the sitemap? Is kind like a index page to keep all your posts since day one and let the search engine to scan through every words in your blogs.

Lets start to submit your blogger atom sitemap (atom.xml) to the most famous Internet Search Engine (Google, Yahoo, Bing).


Submit sitemap to Google using Google Webmaster Tools:-

1. You need to signup the Google Webmaster Tool account using your existing Google Gmail account (same as your Blogger Google account).

2. Click to 'Add a site...' and type in your blogger URL (i.e. jasswin.blogspot.com), then it will provide you a Meta Tag that you need to put into blogger template for verification purpose. PLEASE TAKE NOTE, the Google Meta Tag is missing the ‘ / ' before end of ‘ > ', and you need to add it in the ‘ / ’manually.


3. You need to paste the Google 'Meta Tag' to your blogger account -> 'Layout' -> 'Edit HTML' -> 'Edit Template', after the ‘<head>’.


4. Once your site is verified, then you can go to 'Site configuration' -> 'Sitemaps', click on the 'Submit a Sitemap' button then paste the full atom sitemap ‘atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500’.

5. You can see the format is 'Atom Feed'.

Google Webmaster Tools will take sometime to process your sitemap and you can check it time to time till you can see the number of 'URLs submitted' and 'Indexed URLs'.


Submit sitemap to Bing (MSN) using Bing Webmaster Center:-

1. Go to Bing Webmaster Center and signup the account, if you have the hotmail account or Microsoft live user account, then you can use it.

2. You click on the 'Add a site' button, then it will prompt you to key in the 'Web address', 'Sitemap address'.

Example:-

Web Address: jasswin.blogspot.com

Sitemap Address: http://jasswin.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

 

3. Same as the above (Google Meta Tag), Bing Webmaster Center will provide you a Bing 'Meta Tag' that you need to put into your blogger template for the verification.

4. If your website is failed to authenticate, then Bing will prompt the error, then you need to make sure the step 3 is configured properly. If passed, then you will see your Blog URL in the 'Site List'.

Now, you need to wait for the Bing Webmaster Center to crawl your Blogger sitemap then people only able to search from the Bing (MSN) search engine and reach your blogs.

Submit sitemap to Yahoo using Yahoo Site Explorer:-

1. Browse the Yahoo Site Explorer and login using the Yahoo account (same as your Yahoo email account, called Yahoo! ID) once you click on the 'Submit Site Feed'.

Example:-

Submit Site Feed: http://jasswin.blogspot.com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

2. You put in the sitemap in the box and after you login the Yahoo Site Explorer, it will request you to add the 'Meta Tag' to your blogger template for verification. Same as above (Bing or Google) steps 3.

3. If your website is approved (verified) then you will be able to see your Blogger URL in 'My Sites'.


4. Click on the 'Feeds' to confirm your atom.xml sitemap is in the 'Feed URL' list and the 'Status' is 'new'.

Yahoo Site Explorer will not process your URL submission immediately, it is based on their best effort and you need to wait till Yahoo start crawl your Blogger and only able show in the Yahoo search engine.
